UPDATES:
Production begins November 7, 2003.
11/09/03: Dogs Dreaming got off to a great start.
Filming took place near Old Hyde Park in Tampa.
Actor, Bear, had a rough weekend but pulled through with stars in his eyes. He also had his own dressing room in the upstairs den. That's dog heaven!
Producer/Director/Writer/Editor, Daryn, had the busiest weekend than anyone getting little or no sleep in a four day run.
Gaffer, Chris, showed us his talents in lighting. It looked great!
Script Supervisor/too many other titles to list, Adrienne, did a fantastic job making sure continuity was in check.
Actors, Russ and Samantha, were in good form and gave top notch performances. These two actors are truly a pleasure to work with due to the fact they give 100%.
Extras, A big THANK YOU goes out to all of you!
11/23/03: Dogs Dreaming is over half way through production.
Filming took place in Wesley Chapel, in Zephyrhills.
Russ kept everyone in stitches with laughter! He also got a big workout, there was a lot of jogging for his scenes.
Samantha opened her soon-to-be parents-in-law's home to us and THEY greeted us warmly into their neighborhood along with their patient neighbors.
Actor Oliver, Hiccup, gave us the cutest shots hanging his head out the vehicle's window in true dog fashion. Forgot to bring the doggy biscuits for him, sorry!
Daryn put his homemade steady-cam to work this past weekend and looking at the footage, it looks smooth!
Adrienne, did a great job driving the Chevy Blazer while actor, Russ, jogged behind as Daryn filmed from the back window.
Actor, Devan, showed up, gave an excellent performance despite being under the weather! Hope you're feeling better soon, Devan.
Extras, Chase and Erika, finally found their way to the set and did a great job!
Again, a BIG THANKS to all the extras this past weekend. Extra, Mary, had so much fun the first weekend she came back for more!
Daryn has started editing Dogs Dreaming!
3/15/2004: Dogs Dreaming update
The past few months have been busy, busy finishing up the last bits and pieces in order to complete the production.
About a month or so ago Russell and Samantha completed their voice overs and dubbing. And just prior to that we grabbed time for foley work and blue screening...that was truly interesting.
A few weeks ago Dave Salati finished up his scenes and voice overs.
Last weekend, 3/14/2004, was spent doing the last bit of recording for the Vicky Corner TV Cornucopia Network Shopping Channel with Adrienne Campbell as Vicky and Allen Marzsalek as Fred, her assistant. Recording it was good fun and no worries as far as makeup and lights since this was voice overs.
The foley work, the blue screening, and all of the camera work are completed and Daryn has most of the short edited. The sound track is the last bit to be added and it will be done and ready to go!
This short was originally to be completed by the end of 2003, but we knew going into it that nothing was to be rushed to meet that timeline! And seeing this production coming together as it has I feel that everyone involved in the process will most definitely be pleased with the results!
We are finally at the stage where we can start planning on the wrap party/preview showing date, time, and place!!
8/20/2004: Dogs Dreaming with another update!
The last item, MUSIC, is being added now.
Hopefully Dogs Dreaming will be completed by the middle or end of September.
Daryn has worked long hours on this project and I am sure the end result will not disappoint anyone once you see it!!
